СOMPOSITION

1 g of powder contains the active sub­stance: levamisole hydrochloride – 80 mg.

PACKAGING

Plastic Containers, laminated paper bags, polyethylene bags of 10 g, 25 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g, 1000 g.

DESCRIPTION. The powder of white or slightly yellow color.

PHARMACOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS. АТС vet QP52A, anti-distomiasis, anti-nematodosis and anti-cestodiasis veterinary drugs (QP52AE01, le­vamisole).

Levamisole hydrochloride – levoisomer, belongs to the group of imidazole and is biologically active derivative of tetramisole, is safer than tetramisole. Braking enzyme of acetylcholinesterase, it affects the neuromuscular sys­tem of the parasite, it causes contraction of muscles and paralysis leading to death. It also inhibits the metabolism of carbohydrates in the body of parasites, which blocks the synthesis of ATP.

Levamisole is effective against larvae and mature forms of gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes in cattle, sheep and goats (Haemonchus spp., Ostertagia spp., Cooperia spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Nematodirus spp., Bunostomum spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Dictyo­caulus spp.), pulmonary nematodes (Dictyocaulus spp.), and against lung and gastrointestinal nematodes of pigs (Ascaris suum, Strongyloides ransomi, Metastrongylus spp., Oesophagostomum spp.).

APPLICATION. Should be used in cases of parasitic gastroenteritis and lungworm caused by mature and developing immature forms of those organisms sensitive to treatment with levamisole hydrochloride. Treatment of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs birds (chickens, geese, turkeys, pigeons) against gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodosis infesta­tions caused by:

cattle, sheep and goats: Haemonchus spp., Osterta­gia spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Nemato­dirus spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Bunostomum spp., Trichurus spp., Strongyloides spp., Dictyocaulus spp.;

pigs: Ascaris spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Trichuris spp., Strongyloides spp., Hystrongylus spp., Metastron­gylus spp.;

dogs: Toxocara spp., Toxascaris spp., Ancylostoma spp., Uncinaria spp.;

birds (chickens, geese, turkeys, pigeons): Ascaridia galli, Heterakis gallinarum, Capillaria spp., Trichostron­gylus spp.

DOSAGE. Cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs – should be administered as an oral drench. Dosing must be carried out accurately at a rate of  1 g per 10 kg of bodyweight.

Poultry – should be administered as an oral drench with water at a rate of  3-4 g per 10 kg of bodyweight once or divide  this dose for taking during  3-4 days. For pigeons – 1 g of the drug per cup of water. This solution replaces all drinking water for 3-5 days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS. Do not use for sick and ex­hausted animals, especially animals with diseases of liver and kidneys. The product must not  be administered to lactating pregnant or animals in the last trimester of pregnancy, breeding bulls in the coupling pe­riod, laying hens and emaciated animals.

Do not use simultaneously with pyrantel, morantel, organophosphate drugs of  neostigmine.

PRECAUTIONS.

Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment.
Cattle and sheep  may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 7 days from the last treatment.
Eggs  may be used  for human consumption only after 3 days from the last treatment

Received before this terms  meat and eggs  must be used to  fed  for  unproductive animals or disposed  in accordance with guidance from your local waste regulation authority.

STORAGE. In a dry, dark place at the temperature from +1°C to 25°C.

Shelf-life – 3 years from the date of manufacture.
