Description

Description:

Yellow powder.

Compound:

1 g of the drug contains active ingredients:

doxycycline hyclate – 100 mg;

tylosin tartrate – 100 mg.

Excipients: lactose (lactose monohydrate).

Pharmacological properties:

ATC vet classification code QJ01 – antibacterial veterinary drugs for systemic use. QJ01RA90 – tetracyclines, combinations with other antimicrobial drugs.

Doxycycline is an antibiotic belonging to the tetracycline group. It acts on the 30S ribosomes of microorganisms, interfering with protein synthesis. Doxycycline has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Bordetella spp., Campylobacter spp., E. coli, Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp. spp.), mycoplasma (Mycoplasma spp.) and chlamydia (Chlamydia spp.).

Tylosin is an antibiotic belonging to the macrolide group. The action of tylosin is to bind to the 50S ribosomal subunit of drug-sensitive bacteria, which leads to inhibition of polypeptide synthesis. It is active against gram-positive (Actinomycos spp., Bacillus anthracis., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Streptococcus spp., Staphyloccocus spp., Diplococcus spp.), gram-negative, gram-negative. , Fusobacterium spp., Bortadella bronchiseptica, Haemophilus spp., Bacteroides nodosus, Moraxella spp., Proteus mirabilis), as well as chlamydia (Chlamydia spp.) and mycoplasma (Mycoplasma spp.).

Doxycycline is rapidly absorbed (bioequivalence is 80-90%) in calves when administered orally at a dose of 10 mg per 1 kg of body weight twice a day for 5 days. In this case, a low concentration in the blood plasma is observed - 2 μg/ml. The presence of food in the digestive canal does not have a negative effect on the absorption of the drug.

Doxycycline is well distributed throughout the body and penetrates into tissues. After absorption, tetracyclines are almost not metabolized. Doxycycline is excreted from the body in feces.

When administered orally, tylosin is well absorbed from the digestive tract. After resorption, it penetrates into internal organs and tissues, where it lingers for a longer time than in the blood. The maximum concentration in the blood is observed 2 hours after administration. Therapeutic concentration in the blood remains for 6-8 hours. Tylosin penetrates the placental barrier and is excreted in milk. Tylosin is distributed unevenly in cells, but penetrates into the cells of all organs and biological fluids, where a bacteriostatic concentration is created. Tylosin molecules, after penetrating through the cytoplasmic membranes into the cell, interact with special receptors, which leads to a change in intracellular metabolism with a predominance of anabolic or catabolic direction, which is in the direct direction. Tylosin is excreted from the body in urine and bile. Application

Treatment of calves, lambs and kids up to 13 weeks, pigs and poultry (broiler chickens, chickens, turkeys) for diseases of the respiratory system and digestive tract caused by microorganisms sensitive to doxycycline and tylosin.

Dosage:

Orally with drinking water in doses:

calves, lambs, kids under 13 weeks of age – 5 g of the drug per 100 kg of body weight, twice a day for 3-5 days;

pigs, poultry (broiler chickens, chickens, turkeys) - 1 kg of the drug per 1000 liters of drinking water daily for 3-5 days.

The drug is given with a daily amount of water. The water containing the drug must be changed every 24 hours.

Contraindications:

Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to doxycycline and tylosin, as well as in animals with liver or kidney damage.

Do not use simultaneously with penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones and cycloserine.

Do not use in laying hens whose eggs are used for human consumption, as well as in ruminants with functionally developed forestomachs.

Warning:

Slaughter of animals for meat is permitted 14 days (calves, lambs, kids), 7 days (broilers, turkeys) and 8 days (pigs) after the last use of the drug. The meat received by the specified date is disposed of or fed to non-productive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinary doctor.
